Daniel's fish cake
We had Daniel's birthday party yesterday. It was a "Splashy Blast Party"! We had water balloons and squirt guns and everyone (well, all the kids) got very wet!
I made two cakes. One was a chocolate peanut butter four layer cake (it collapsed under its own weight, though, :( and part of it broke off) - the cake was chocolate with peanut butter mixed in, and the filling was peanut butter frosting (vanilla frosting mixed with peanut butter). The whole cake was frosted with chocolate frosting.
The second cake was the fish cake (above). It was a yellow cake in a 13x9" pan. You can see the recipe here . I changed the colors because we couldn't find regular colored M&Ms, they were all "Jack's Gems" from "Pirates of the Caribbean" (which Jef & I actually got to see in the theatre!!! We went on Aug. 6 for our anniversary). :)
All in all it was a fun day!
